Yes. In Autumn 2015 George Osborne confirmed the Government's intention to make Creditsafe a "Designated CRA" under the Small and Medium Sized Business (Credit Information) Regulations 2015.

This will mean that Creditsafe will be one of only three CRAs (the others being Equifax and Experian) to receive SME Credit Information directly from designated banks and we will then make it available to alternative finance providers in order to help small businesses in accessing finance.

We will be able to use company "credit information" – loan data, bank account data and credit card data, to improve the richness of our scoring model and we will have a new range of products available for the Alternative Finance Providers market.

We had a website describing us as "the three credit information giants - Experian, Equifax and Creditsafe" on 25/11/15.

Creditsafe was recommended for designation following a detailed due diligence process run by the Government and this is recognition of just how far Creditsafe has come and endorses our position as a trusted partner to businesses across the UK.
