Creditsafe owns or licences a huge amount of data. This is plugged into our services and distributed to our customers, whether that is via reports, lists, or bulk data files. We determine how we use that data, who we sell it to, how long we hold it etc. Therefore, Creditsafe acts as a data controller.

Many customers think that, because they input data into our website (e.g. to do a company search), or send us customer data for cleansing/enhancing, we act as their data processor. This is not correct. This a controller-to-controller exchange of information in order for us to provide our services to our customers.
