The Country Universe value represents the total number of countries included in the ranking for a specific risk area, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Supply Chain, or Sovereign risk. This value is not fixed and can change over time.
A country is only included in the universe for a particular risk area if there is enough reliable and up-to-date data available to calculate a meaningful risk score. If a country does not meet the minimum data quality threshold, it will not be assigned a score or a rank for that risk area, and will not be counted in the universe value.
As data availability and quality improve or decline, the number of countries included in each risk area’s universe may increase or decrease. This means the universe value can vary between different risk areas and may change over time as new data becomes available or as data quality changes.
Key points:
- The Country Universe value is specific to each risk area (AML, ESG, Supply Chain, Sovereign).
- Only countries with sufficient, reliable data are included in the universe for each area.
- The universe value is dynamic and may change as data coverage improves or declines.
- Countries without enough data are not assigned a score or rank and are not included in the universe value for that risk area.
