Screening in Compliance in Salesforce is the process of checking a business or individual against AML and risk datasets—such as sanctions, PEPs, enforcement, adverse media, and more—to identify potential compliance risks.   1. In the Salesforce dashboard, click on the Compliance tab
  2. Within the compliance area, click on the Screen tab
  3. You will be taken to the screening page. From here, you can start configuring your screening parameters, you will need to provide the below information:
    • Select whether you want to screen a business or an individual 
    • Add in the business/individual name 
    • If you are screening an individual, you can also include a date of birth and gender 
    • Start configuring your screening parameters. Please note: If you have already set your parameters in your Compliance Settings, these will be carried over to the screening page. You can update these if needed. The screening parameters are: 
    • Match %
    • PEP Tiers (for individuals only) 
    • AML Categories 
    • Sanction Bodies: you can specify if you want to search specific sanction bodies. If you do not specify sanction bodies, then the screen will run against all sanction bodies. If you would like to specify specific sanction bodies, then you can activate the toggle to do this. If you have sanction bodies configured in your Compliance Settings, then this will automatically be populated. You can update this if you need to.
  4. Once parameters are set, click on the Search button on the bottom right of the screen
  5. Your search results will appear in the results list
  6. Click a result to view more details
  7. From here, you can navigate through the tabs to get more information on the business, AML Categories and links to the sources
  8. You can finish the screening process here, and return to the Salesforce Dashboard or compliance area, or you can continue by converting the screening into a Profile. Guidance on this is below. 


Converting a Screen to a Profile: 

If you create a Profile from a screen, the screen will be added as a Key Party. From here, you can update your screen matches, add more Key Parties, AML Monitor Key Parties, and Business Monitor the profile. 


  1. To add a Screen to a Profile, in your Screen hit, click the Add to Profile button on the top right of the screen 
  2. You will get a pop-up, from here, you can select the Key Party type, and either add the result to an existing profile or create a new Profile
  3. To create a new Profile, click the blue Create New Profile button 
  4. Populate the mandatory Profile-creation fields, then click the blue Confirm button. If you are linking the screen to an existing profile, you can skip the creation steps
  5. A Profile will be created and the Screen has been added as a Key Party. If you are adding the screen to an existing Profile, then they will be added as a Key Party. The screen Match has also been identified as a true match
  6. The Key Party screening status may show as In Progress, as there are still open matches to review. If there aren't any open matches, the Key Party will show as being Reviewed


Managing Screening Results:

  1. Click View to see the Key Party screening details 
  2. You will get a pop-up of the Key Party details
  3. An overview of the screening parameters can be found across the top boxes 
  4. The Open Matches will be listed below 
  5. You can select whether these matches are True Matches or False Positives
  6. Mark each as True Match or False Positive. Once you mark these, the True Match and False Positive tabs will update accordingly 
  7. You can finish the screening process here and close the window, alternatively you can add the Key Party to AML Monitoring


AML Monitoring:

  1. Click Manage AML Monitoring to begin configuring AML Monitoring
  2. Toggle to Enable/Disable AML Monitoring
  3. Use the second toggle to turn on email alerts if you want to receive these
  4. Select email recipients or scroll to the bottom of the list to add new recipients 
  5. Click Save, then close the window
  6. You will now see the Key Party marked as Monitored



KYC Monitoring a Profile:

  1. On the top right corner of the profile, click Add to Monitoring. This will add the full profile to Business Monitoring
  2. You will see a banner confirming the Profile has been added to Monitoring
  3. Alerts (if any) will appear in Business Monitoring section at the bottom of the profile
