The current version replaces the old Italy‑built connector. If you are using the Italian connector, you will need to migrate to the current version of HubSpot. Migration requires exporting your data, uninstalling the old connector, and installing the new one.


1. Export All Companies (Back Up Your Data)

Before uninstalling anything, HubSpot recommends backing up all Creditsafe‑related data.

Steps

  1. Go to CRM → Companies.
  2. Apply filters if needed (e.g. “Creditsafe ID”).
  3. Use Advanced filters to refine your data.
  4. Click Export and download your company data as Excel/CSV.

This gives you a safe offline backup before migrating.


2. Remove the Old Connector (Italian Version)

Once your data is exported:

Steps

  1. Click the Settings (gear icon) in HubSpot.
  2. Go to Integrations → Connected Apps.
  3. Locate the old Creditsafe app.
  4. Click Actions → Uninstall.
  5. Type "uninstall" to confirm. 

This removes the outdated Italian connector so it doesn’t conflict with the new global version.


3. Complete the Mapping Sheet

The new connector requires a field‑mapping setup.

Steps

  1. Download the mapping sheet (from internal SharePoint or documentation).
  2. Complete all required fields indicating where Creditsafe data should map in HubSpot.
  3. Email the completed sheet to:
    databridge@softsalesconsulting.com
  4. SoftSales will issue you a SoftSales ID, required for installation.


4. Install the New Global Connector

Once you have your SoftSales ID:

Steps

  1. Go to the installation URL:
    Production: https://www.creditsafe.com/hubspot/production/install.html
  2. Authenticate using:
    • Your Creditsafe API credentials
    • Your SoftSales ID
  3. Select the HubSpot account where you want the connector installed.

The connector will now install and configure the new Creditsafe fields and functionality.


5. Re‑Import Your Cleaned Data

Once the new connector is active:

Steps

  1. Return to CRM → Companies.
  2. Choose Import → File Upload.
  3. Map the spreadsheet columns to HubSpot properties.
    (The migration guide describes this mapping process.)
  4. Complete the import.

Your Companies are now fully refreshed under the new connector.


6. You're Now on the Current Version

After migration, you will have access to:

  • Improved matching
  • Cleaner field mapping
  • New monitoring options
  • Better stability and global support
