Unmatching a company disconnects the HubSpot company record from the Creditsafe company it was previously linked to. This is useful when:

  • The wrong company was matched
  • The data needs to be rematched
  • You are cleaning or correcting records


Step-by-Step: How to Unmatch a Company


1. Open the Company Record

Go to CRM → Companies, then open the company whose match you want to remove.
(This must be a record already matched to Creditsafe.)


2. Open the Creditsafe Actions Menu

On the right-hand Creditsafe panel, click Actions.
This menu includes several Creditsafe-specific functions such as Update, Monitor, Full Report, and Unmatch.


3. Select “Unmatch” 

From the Actions list, choose:

Unmatch (may appear in French as Dissocier)

This removes the Creditsafe match and resets the Creditsafe data fields.


4. Refresh the Page

After unmatching:

  • The Creditsafe ID will be cleared
  • Creditsafe-enriched fields will revert or empty
  • The Creditsafe panel will return to search mode

You can now rematch the company if needed using Search Companies.


What Happens After You Unmatch?

Once unmatching is complete:

  • All previously enriched Creditsafe data is removed
  • The company is no longer monitored
  • The connector returns to “search” mode so you can match the correct company
